The Prime Minister of Belize made the official announcement that Belize’s International Airport (BZE) will be reopened on August 15, 2020.
The reopening of the airport will open entry for commercial flights, chartered flights, private aviation and yachts, and allow for limited reopening of leisure travel with approved hotels. This is part of a phased approach allowing the travel industry to reopen responsibly, to test new entry protocols, and to make adjustments as necessary to ensure the well-being of Belizeans and visitors.
In addition, the introduction of new Belize Health App is underway and will be mandatory for all travelers to register for in order to come to Belize. This will allow for proper contact tracing in Belize.
