Welcome to the Jungle

We invite you to experience Table Rock’s hundred-acre reserve on the ancient Macal River, the intimate and hospitable service and accommodations, and the sights and sounds of the Belizean jungle. Hike, swim, canoe, birdwatch, or just indulge in serious relaxation. Close to all the major Mayan archeological sites and natural wonders of Belize, Table Rock is the ideal location for your adventure holiday.

Why Choose Table Rock?
- We are small and intimate — only 10 cabañas, but situated on 105 acres with one-half mile of frontage on the Macal River and a working citrus farm. We are family owned and operated and have a great staff providing outstanding service.
- We are in the jungle — We are one of the few lodges that has accommodations smack-dab in the middle of the jungle canopy rather than in an open area with jungle around the perimeter. Keep in mind, though, that this means the occasional bug, uneven terrain, and night noises from animals. It also means mud, rain, and bumpy roads. But, we’re close to San Ignacio—only 5 unpaved miles by road and easily accessible via rental car, bus, or taxi.
- We are an award-winning, environmentally sustainable lodge — If you’re looking to make a contribution to the planet by leaving a small footprint while you travel, then we’re the place for you! We produce our own electricity via solar power, and because of this, there are USB outlets only and no standard electrical outlets in individual guest rooms to reduce electricity consumption. High-draw electrical items such as hairdryers and curling irons are NOT permitted. Don’t fear, though! We do offer a guest common area for charging electronics like laptops that don’t have a USB cord. Additionally, air conditioning is not available, but it isn’t missed much with the use of our industrial ceiling fans and in our area’s comfortable climes.
- Our gourmet dining can’t be beat — but we are small and in the jungle, so there is a small, limited menu, and meals must be ordered a day in advance. We also require a food questionnaire to be completed. This allows our chefs to cater specifically to your tastes and dietary needs and allows us to serve only the freshest locally-sourced foods available.
